BOX OFFICE REPORT (JAN. 31-FEB. 2): 'Ride Along' Stays No. 1, 'Frozen' Jumps Back to No. 2

1. Ride Along (1st)
Weekend gross: $12.3 million / Total domestic gross: $93.0 million /
Percent drop: 42.2
With no new big releases and the Super Bowl to contend with, it only took $12.3 million for Ride Along to claim the top spot at the box office for the third weekend in a row. The Kevin Hart film is just $7 million away from cracking the $100 million mark. With The Lego Movie opening on a whopping 3,650 screens next weekend, this will be it for Ride Along's hold on the top spot.

2. Frozen (4th)
Weekend gross: $9.3 million / Total domestic gross: $360.0 million /
Percent increase: 2.1
Thanks to a new sing-along version, Frozen jumped back up to the No. 2 in its 11th weekend in theaters.

3. That Awkward Moment (N)
Weekend gross: $9.0 million / Total domestic gross: $9.0 million /
Percent drop: NA
A few years into the future when Michael B. Jordan and Miles Teller have a few Oscar nominations, people will look back as That Awkward Moment as a weird blip on their résumés when the two actors worked together before their careers got huge. For now, though, we'll remember That Awkward Moment as a movie that could only muster $9 million its opening weekend.

4. The Nut Job (3rd)
Weekend gross: $7.6 million / Total domestic gross: $50.2 million /
Percent drop: 37.1
It's really hard to get excited over anything The Nut Job is doing. Sure, $50 million is nice, but when this movie is competing with Frozen, that's nothing to be excited about.

5. Lone Survivor (2nd)
Weekend gross: $7.2 million / Total domestic gross: $104.9 million /
Percent drop: 44.5
Mark Wahlberg's war drama passed the $100 million mark over the weekend. Think Transformers: Age of Extinction can pull off that feat too?

Next week's predictions
1. The Lego Movie
2. The Monuments Men
3. Ride Along
4. Frozen
5. That Awkward Moment
