'Maxim' Names Eva Longoria Its Woman of the Year

Maxim's Woman of the Year is pretty much the same things as Time's Person of the Year, right? If so, I guess Eva Longoria is Maxim's version of Pope Francis. The former Desperate Housewives actress is featured on the cover of Maxim's January/February issue.

I'm not quite sure what the criteria for Woman of the Year is, but here's what Maxim had to say about Longoria:

She was the sexiest suburbanite in history on Desperate Housewives, and now she's a big shot producer, a savvy businesswoman, and our 2014 Woman of the Year. Is there anything Eva Longoria can't do? (Hint: The answer is no.)

OK, I guess? Is Longoria still popular enough to sell copies of Maxim? Are frat guys super into the fact that Longoria is an executive producer on Lifetime's Devious Maids? Honoring someone's status as "a big shot producer" and "savvy businesswoman" by taking pictures of her in just thin T-shirt is also an interesting move. Time's Person of the Year photos would have been totally different if they went this root with Pope Francis ...
