In addition to being awesome on the Tonight Show on Tuesday night, Emma Stone premiered a new clip from The Amazing Spider-Man. The clip shows Stone's Gwen Stacy hurriedly trying to finish fabricating an antidote in the Oscorp labs while Rhys Ifans' the Lizard is breaking in.

Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man is clearly too far away to actually rescue Gwen, as he is shown resorting to telling his girlfriend to run over the phone. "You're going to wait there for eight minutes after what I just told you?" is a pretty classic-sounding Spider-Man line.

So far, this version of Spider-Man wears a backpack and talks on his cell phone. When director Marc Webb said they were taking the story of Spider-Man back to high school, they really weren't kidding.
